Gillian Goodson Garden & Landscape Design

Gillian Goodson Designs organise training through workshops, courses and events. Our training days are open to all. All courses be delivered by highly regarded speakers who are experts in their field.

Courses

We organise training and networking opportunities through workshops and courses on garden design and horticultural related topics.

Gillian is a great believer in team work, inclusivity and in helping others. This ethos is core to the training and development we offer. Where possible, we make contributions to chosen charities such as Perennial - The Gardeners’ Benevolent Society, Veterans’ Growth, and Horatio’s Garden from the proceeds of ticket sales.

Our training days are open to all:  some will require an existing degree of technical expertise; some will also appeal to keen amateurs; and others to beginners, advanced designers and related professionals.  All will be delivered by highly regarded speakers who are experts in their field.

Please contact us for more information about any of the courses and events listed, or if you would like to be added to our mailing list for future courses and events.  There may also be the opportunity to arrange tailored training courses.

Feedback on our courses and events is consistently positive, with many participants finding them helpful in developing not only their knowledge and skills but also their professional networks.

The People Place and Nature Podcast

We are proud to support The People Place and Nature Podcast. This podcast seeks to bring together experts from across the environmental world covering everything from renewable energies, architecture, horticulture and ecology. Many of the subjects have special relevance to those interested in our courses, either to gain a deeper understanding of ecological systems, trees and plants, changing design trends, landscape design and considerations and other topics which may impact planning, such as water neutrality, renewable energy generation, green infrastructure and other topics.

The podcast follows an open conversation format featuring a wide range of guests from scientists, engineers, researchers and individuals leading the way when it comes to tackling our environmental challenges. The first season features 25 guests from across the environmental world, it consists primarily of sit down conversations but also some episodes feature more mobile elements looking at specific areas or considerations relating to the subject.
